Welcome to Breton West Herefords
In 1974, Eugene & Norma Poholka became Hereford
breeders, with the purchase of 20 registered pairs. Our son, Leonard,
embraced the Hereford breed by age 11 and in 1982 he bought his
first 2 heifers. Leonard continues to follow his passion for Hereford
cattle and we are all proud of our herd.
We strive to raise cattle with maternal strength to compliment any herd. Please tour the site and find genetics that will benefit your herd.

Breton West hereford bulls are on offer each year at Calgary Bull Sale and most years at the Lloydminster and Lethbridge bull sales. - Hereford Cow-calf Pairs - Each May, pairs are selected and offered for sale for commercial use.
- Registered Hereford Females - We will consider offers accepted on our registered Horned Hereford females. Embryo flushes from our of donor females are also available.
- Hereford semen is also available on some of the Breton West sires.
