Hereford Cattle For Sale
Thank you for your interest in Breton West Herefords. We have been
breeding and selling purebred Hereford cattle since 1974. We stand
behind the bulls and females we sell and do our best to keep our customers
happy. We've been in the shoes of the unsatisfied buyer before and
work hard to ensure our customers will always have good buying experiences!

Commercial Hereford Females For Sale
Each spring we select some cow-calf pairs
to sell to commercial herds. These females have proven that they have
the ability to be as trouble-free as possible. They calve unassisted,
have trouble-free udders, and good feet. The fact is that because we
keep virtually all of our heifers, and becuase our herd has improved
to the point that there are very few cull-worthy cows each year, we
need to sell some producing cows as either purebred or commercial.
Usually we can offer 10 to 12 commercial pairs each May.

Real Weaning Weights:
Our weaning weights have
always been taken with only
grass and milk in the calves - we need to know what they can really
do.
No Horns:
We have always dehorned some
of our bulls. Some buyers want to have the horned genetics, but
enjoy the easier handling of a dehorned bull (easier on fences and
to get up the chute). Our Cattle are Guaranteed:
All bulls
are guaranteed breeders. The standard Canadian
Hereford Association
guarantee applies, plus our own personal consideration of a problem
with cattle we sell.
Note on 2003 Calves:
Due to drought and management circumstances the weaning and yearling weights on our 2003 calves are not a true representation of their gaining and growing ability. - Sale Terms - We require
payment (bank clearance of cheque) before cattle are delivered.
